Welcome to The Water! We’re so glad you’re here!
We call our church “The Water” because water is an important spiritual theme throughout the Bible. In fact, there are 722 references to water in the Old and New Testament scriptures.
Water is a powerful symbol of refreshment, sanctification, cleansing, life, holiness, sustenance, purification – and, of course, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – the one who walked on water and caused the Red Sea to part. Our own human bodies are comprised of approximately 60% water.
The Bible tells us in 1 John 5:12 that “he that hath the Son [Jesus] hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Clearly, without Jesus, we cannot have the life that God intended for us. Becoming “born again” gives us that joyful, peace-filled relationship with God, our Father, through His precious son. As believers, we enjoy God’s grace, favor, mercy, forgiveness, and unconditional love. Many Christians experience the practice of baptism (immersion in water) as “an expression of a believer’s new life in Christ” (1 Peter 3:21 Amplified Bible).
So you can see that water clearly represents our faith and relationship with Christ.
Here at The Water, we love Jesus! We live for Him and we glorify His name in everything we do. We warmly invite you to join us as we worship, learn, and pray together as a family united in Jesus. While our presence is currently online, you can certainly experience “church” here with us! As we grow, so will our programs and services. And, yes, we have a traditional church facility in our development plan, so we look forward to seeing you in person soon! In the meantime, please stay awhile and read Pastor Davenport’s blogs and messages – we believe they will enrich your life and bring you closer to God.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
He that believeth on me [Jesus], as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
